Squat is a compound exercise that works in muscles of thighs and hips. This exercise is used for strengthening the bones of lower body and also improves the strength of the body. The various types of squats are:
- Back Squat.
- Box Squat.
- Front Squat.
- Hack Squat.
- Overhead Squat.
- Zercher Squat.
Squats are performed by bending your knees until your hips become slightly lower than parallel to your knees like sitting on a chair. When this position is achieved, return back to the rest position and repeat it again. These are high intensity exercises and requires correct form. In this exercise workout with heavyweight increases body weight and muscles strength.
But overloading or incorrect form may cause side effects.
